Three Lessons from London 2012

1. Focus

Take the example of China. They focussed on events which require skill like Badminton, Table Tennis etc. They put all their energies on developing not one but two, three or even four sportsmen/women in each of their focus areas and won multiple medals in one event.

The bottom line ; FOCUS  pays you in gold and silver and bronze .

2.   Motivation

Britain stood at the third spot on the medal tally. They focussed on their strengths and the crowds provided them with all the motivation in the world. The result was medals galore.

When preparedness meets motivation success is achieved.

3. Team Work Works

The common wealth games brought out the best in some Indian; making a fortune from public money. The Olympics have proved that things can be done before time, smoothly in more ways than one, and also keep the host's head high, also in more ways than one.

The organizers did their best, the officials did their bit to the best of their abilities and the sports persons made the country proud.

This is what I call team work. Teams work when everyone wins.
